Jaguars Sweep Georgia Southwestern 7-0 in PBC Matchup

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's tennis team earned a dominant 7-0 victory over Georgia Southwestern in Peach Belt Conference action on Saturday at the Newman Tennis Center. The win lifts Augusta to 12-5 on the season and 1-3 in conference play.

The Jaguars were in control from the start, sweeping all three doubles matches to claim the opening point. Andrea Gonzalez and Juliana Martinez teamed up for a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles, while Giovanna Patrocinio and Camila Taborga matched that score at No. 2. Priscilla Landi and Julieta Palma completed the sweep with a 6-0 win at No. 3.

In singles play, Augusta didn't drop a match. Martinez led the way with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1, and Gonzalez followed with a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 2. Landi delivered a 6-1, 6-2 result at No. 3, while Luciana Bejarano rallied after a slow start to win 0-6, 6-2, 10-6 at No. 4. Patrocinio took her match 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5, and Taborga completed the sweep with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 performance at No. 6.
