AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University softball wrapped up the 2025 regular season on Saturday afternoon with a Senior Day doubleheader against Lander at Jaguar Field. After securing a walk-off win in Friday's series opener, the Jaguars dropped both games Saturday, falling 13-3 and 7-1. Augusta ends the regular season at 29-27 overall and 7-17 in Peach Belt Conference play.
Game 1: Lander 13, Augusta 3
Lander scored four unearned runs in the first inning and gradually pulled away, scoring in five of six innings. Augusta plated two runs in the third inning on a two-run double from Bailee Roberts and added a third run in the fifth after Kaylynn Scaffe reached on an error and scored on a groundout by Roberts.
Roberts finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a double. Nevaeh Ross and Cadance Winder each singled, and Scaffe added a hit and scored twice. Payton Terrell made the start and took the loss, while Madalyn Spinks pitched in relief.
Game 2: Lander 7, Augusta 1
The Jaguars struck first in the bottom of the first when Ayellad Howard walked, advanced on a sacrifice bunt from Miles, and scored on an RBI double by Roberts. Lander answered with a run in the second and took the lead with two runs in the third.
Augusta had chances in the middle innings but stranded runners in scoring position. Lander added two runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh to pull away.
Roberts went 2-for-3 with an RBI, including her third double of the series. Grace Bailey collected two hits, and Scaffe and Winder each reached base. Spinks started and went six innings, while Gibson pitched the final inning in relief.
