ATLANTA, GA. – The Augusta University women's basketball team earned WBCA Academic Honorable Mention honors for the 2024-25 season after posting a program-record 3.172 team GPA, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Tuesday.

The Jaguars' academic performance places them among 119 women's basketball programs across NCAA Divisions I, II, III, NAIA, and two-year colleges recognized on the WBCA College Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls.

"The WBCA is pleased to recognize those women's basketball programs that have committed themselves to excellence on the court and in the classroom," said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. "The 119 teams we honor this year strive to achieve all-around success and we commend their efforts. Congratulations!"

Now in its 30th year, the WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes women's basketball programs with the highest combined grade-point averages—including all student-athletes on the roster—for the full academic year.
