AUGUSTA, GA – Augusta University head men's basketball coach Dip Metress has announced the 2025-26 men's basketball schedule. The slate features 30 regular season contests, including 14 home games inside Christenberry Fieldhouse.
2025 Men's Basketball Schedule
From Head Coach Dip Metress
"Probably not the year to be opening up at the nationally recognized top tier tournament with 12 freshmen and sophomores on our roster but in my tenure I always believed in playing a strong schedule and we definitely did that again this year. The Peach Belt made it tough with us having two bye weeks on Saturdays in conference play and only one home Saturday game once school starts in the second semester, but it should make for some exciting Wednesday night games in Christenberry Fieldhouse."
The Jaguars will open the 2025-26 campaign at the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic in Lakeland, Florida. Augusta begins play against Washburn University on November 1 before facing Lubbock Christian on November 2. Tournament play continues at the 45 Second Classic in Wilson, North Carolina, where AU will meet Mount Olive on November 14 and Barton on November 15.
Augusta plays its home opener on November 19 against Emmanuel University before a road contest at Fayetteville State on November 22. The Jaguars return to Christenberry Fieldhouse to face Converse on November 25 and travel to Carson-Newman on November 29. December begins with a cross-town matchup against Paine for the first of two Education Day games on December 2, followed by the Peach Belt Conference opener at home versus Flagler on December 3.
Conference play continues at home on December 6 against Georgia Southwestern before a road trip to USC Beaufort on December 10. The Jaguars return home on December 13 to take on Georgia College, then face Reinhardt on December 18 for the Columbia County Education Day game before closing out the pre-holiday slate at Columbus State on December 20.
After the break, Augusta opens 2026 on the road at Middle Georgia State on January 3. The Jaguars then host Clayton State on January 7 and USC Aiken on January 14, with road matchups at Lander (Jan. 10), North Georgia (Jan. 21), and Flagler (Jan. 24) in between. The month finishes with a home date against USC Beaufort on January 28 before traveling to Georgia Southwestern on January 31.
February begins at home with Columbus State on February 4, followed by a road contest at Georgia College on February 7. Augusta will host Lander on February 11 before making the short trip to USC Aiken on February 14 and visiting Clayton State on February 18. The Jaguars close the regular season with two of their final three contests at home: Middle Georgia State on February 21 and North Georgia on February 25.
The regular season concludes with the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. Quarterfinals are set for Wednesday, March 4, with semifinals on Saturday, March 7, and the championship final on Sunday, March 8.
