Dubai, UAE - Former Augusta University golfer and Masters Champion Patrick Reed won the Hero Dubai Desert Classic by four shots on Sunday.
Reed, who played a major role in the Jaguars winning back-to-back National Championships, fired a final round 72 and finished at 14-under-par for the title in Dubai. Andy Sullivan would finish second with Julien Guerrier coming in third place, five shots behind Reed.
Now 35 years old, Reed made eight pars and a bogey on the front nine, but then birdied 13 to regain his four shot lead. He would never look back and became the sixth American winner of the event. IT was also his first DP World Tour crown since the 2020 WGC-Mexico Championship.
Reed played on the AU teams that won the titles in 2010 and 2011.
