Augusta, Ga. - The Augusta men's golf team 2026-27 schedule is now set. Once again the Jaguars will face plenty of the top teams in the nation over the course of the fall and spring schedules. AU will travel across the country playing in some familiar events as well as a few new ones. The season will again culminate in the West Coast Conference Championship in May.
"It's always good to go back to places where you've played with the experience," said Steven Paine, Augusta golf coach. "We've also added a few new ones in there as well so overall it's a great schedule. We pride ourselves playing against the best so we're excited to see where we stack up."
Augusta opens the season August 31 as they will host the first ever Jaguar Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. That will be followed by four events they have played recently played in.
Sept. 15-16 the Jaguars will be in the Bearcat Invitational hosted by the University of Cincinnait. Oct. 4-5 the Jags will be part of the field at the Fighting Irish Classic in South Bend, In. In mid-October, they will then compete in the Wiliams Cup, hosted by the University of North Carolina. That event usually features several of the top ranked teams in the nation. AU will finish off the fall portion of the schedule with their second straight trip to Hawaii where they will be part of the Pearl at Kalauao.
The spring schedule starts with a new event as they will be part of the N.I.T. in Tuscon, Az. Feb. 1-2.
"We're just trying to change it up a bit. Nationals and our conference tournament are on the west coast so it's good to get out there and play on some different types of grasses," said Paine. "We're really excited about that one."
The Jaguars will return to the east coast for the remainder of their schedule. They will be part of the field at the Battle of Briar's Creek in Charleston, S.C., Feb. 15-16. Then, a trip to Florida for the Sam Ryder Intercollegiate March 1-2. They will return to the Peach State for the Schenkle Invitational March 19-21 in Statesboro, Ga. The Jaguars second home event will be the annual Augusta Haskins Award Invitational April 3-4. They'll wrap up the regular season with the Ford Collegiate in Richmond Hill, Ga. April 12-13. The Jaguars will then head to Oregon for the West Coast Conference Championship April 29-May 2.
