Augusta, Ga. - The Augusta women's golf team is headed to Columbus, Ga. for the inaugural Haskins Intercollegiate in Columbus, Ga. Oct. 12-13. This will be the fifth tournament of the fall for the Jaguars.
The Haskins Intercollegiate features 13 teams from coast to coast. Hosted by the Haskins Foundation, the tournament extends the organization's commitment to women's collegiate golf. Players will compete at the historic home of the Haskins and ANNIKA AwardsÂ
"It's another quick turnaround for our team but I know they'll be up for the challenge," said Alison Crenshaw, interim golf coach. "We are proud to be part of the inaugural Haskins Intercollegiate and will face some tough competition. The Haskins Foundation has played a major role in promoting college golf so to be part of this event makes it more special."Â
The tournament will feature 54 holes at Columbus Country Club with 36 holes on Monday, Oct. 12 and the final 18 scheduled for Tue. Oct 13.Â
Augusta is coming off an eighth place finish at The Ally, an event that was shortened by 18 holes.
Puntita Pawichai did finish in a tie for fifth.Â

Teams competing: Alabama, Arkansas, Augusta, Auburn, Furman, LSU, Mercer, Middle Tennessee St., Ohio St., Pepperdine, SMU, UNC Willmington and USC Upstate.Â
