Aiken, S.C. - After the opening round of the More Than Golf Invitational presented by Bank of America, the Augusta women's golf team is tied for sixth place with Morehead St. at 13-over-par. Columbia is currently atop the leaderboard, and the only team under par. Tulsa and Denver round out the top three at Old Barnwell Golf Club in Aiken, S.C.

The Jaguars were led by Marine Legentil and Sara Adams who both posted opening rounds 75. Legentil carded two birdies and four bogeys on the par 73 course. Adams had three birdies to go along with three bogeys and one double bogey for her total. They are both in a tie for 14th place.

Sofia Valera posted a 77 on Sunday with a pair of birdies.

The final team counting score was turned in by Puntita Pawichai, who shot a 5-over-par 78 to open the event. She also posted a pair of birdies on the day.

The non-counting score was turned in by Danielle Higbee who shot 83 in the opening round.

The second round is slated for Monday with the first tee times at 10:30 a.m.
