AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men's cross country team has been picked to finish second in the 2026 Peach Belt Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, the league announced Tuesday.
The Jaguars received three first-place votes and 59 total points, finishing just three points behind defending PBC champion Flagler, which received six first-place votes and 62 points. Georgia College & State University was picked third with 49 points.
Augusta enters the 2026 season after finishing runner-up at the PBC Championship a year ago. The Jaguars went on to place fifth at the NCAA Southeast Regional, where Nasrudin Mohamed finished 15th overall to earn an individual berth to the NCAA Division II National Championship.
The Jaguars return all six of their All-PBC performers from last season as they prepare for the 2026 campaign.
Augusta opens the season on Friday, Sept. 4 at the Converse Kick-Off in Spartanburg, S.C.
