AUGUSTA, Ga. – The defending Peach Belt Conference regular-season co-champion Augusta University volleyball team will open the 2026 season at the Lions Den Invitational, hosted by Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
The Jaguars return All-Conference performer and AVCA All-American Layne Witherspoon, along with reigning PBC Freshman of the Year Sofiia Snitsarevych.
The Jaguars will play three matches over the two-day tournament inside Emmanuel's Volleyball Arena. Augusta opens the season against Mars Hill at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, before facing host Emmanuel at 7 p.m.
Augusta will conclude the tournament against Mount Olive at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29.
