AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University volleyball earned its second sweep in three days Saturday, defeating Georgia College 3-0 at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

The Jaguars won 25-15, 25-23 and 25-9 to improve to 4-8 overall and 2-0 in Peach Belt Conference play.

Augusta held Georgia College to a .078 hitting percentage and 20 kills. The Jaguars finished with 38 kills on .215 hitting while holding advantages in service aces, 13-3, and digs, 44-36. Both teams recorded seven blocks.

Nikol Antova led Augusta with nine kills on .273 hitting. Emma Haren added eight kills, nine digs and two aces, while Sofiia Snitsarevych recorded six kills and three solo blocks. Essence Jones also finished with six kills.

Andrea Rodríguez totaled 17 assists, five digs and a match-leading five service aces. Kinley Nicholls added 10 assists, while Hunter McFarland led the back row with 13 digs. Moni Anjous recorded nine digs and two aces.

Augusta took control of the opening set after an early 2-2 tie. The Jaguars used strong serving and defense to build a 17-8 advantage before closing out the 25-15 win.

Georgia College led by as many as six in the second set and held a 23-19 advantage late. A Bobcat service error returned the ball to Augusta before kills from Haren, Rodríguez and Snitsarevych tied the set at 23. Rodríguez followed with an ace, and Haren finished the six-point run with a kill to give the Jaguars a 25-23 victory.

Augusta carried that momentum into the third set. After dropping the opening point, the Jaguars scored 10 straight to take a 10-1 lead. Augusta committed no attacking errors in the frame, hitting .429 with 12 kills, and held Georgia College to three kills and a negative hitting percentage in the 25-9 win.

The Jaguars remain home to host Lander on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 6 p.m.
