AS A FRESHMAN IN 2015: Named the Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Week on Feb. 3, 2015 for his performances on the field against Newberry on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 where he hit .375 with a .500 slugging percentage … Hit .286 and tallied 22 total hits in 77 at bats … Recorded 12 RBI and went 2-2 for steals on the base paths … Started 18 of 26 games in the outfield. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Greenbrier High School in Evans, Ga., in 2014…Made three trips to the state playoffs, two appearances at the state championships and won two region championships...Ended his senior year batting .410 and led Region 2-AAAAA in home runs (10), RBI (44), and tied for runs scored (39)…Also led the county with 48 hits and was awarded All-Region Player of the Year, All-County Hitter of the Year and received the Terry Holder Scholarship by the Greenbrier athletic department…Four-year honor roll student, Michaels also lettered in football, winning Defensive MVP, Captains Award and earned the team’s overall MVP award.
