COLUMBIA, S.C.
– Eighth-ranked Augusta State rallied from a seven-point
deficit at halftime Saturday night to earn a 68-58 road victory
over Benedict in HRC Arena.
With the victory, ASU improved to 2-0 on the season. The contest
marked the season opener for the Tigers (0-1).
Senior forward Fred Brathwaite poured in a career-high 32 points to
lead the Jaguars. ASU trailed 33-26 at the half, but outscored
Benedict 42-25 after intermission.
ASU travels to metro-Atlanta on Wednesday, Nov. 25 to take on
NAIA-power Life University. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m., in
Marietta, Ga.
