Jaguars Hold Steady At No. 5

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State maintained its No. 5 national ranking Tuesday in the 14th NABC Coaches poll of the season, according to a release from the NABC national office in Kansas City, Mo.

The Jaguars wrapped up the regular season with a 65-60 road win over Lander on Saturday, Feb. 26 at Finis Horne Arena in Greenwood, S.C. They have now appeared in the top 25 for a school-record 64 consecutive weeks, and have been ranked in the top 20 for 53 consecutive weeks.

With their No. 5 ranking, the Jags have appeared in the top 10 in 42 of last 48 national polls. The Jags have also cracked the top five 26 times over the last three-plus seasons, including 25 times in the last two-plus seasons.

Only Grambling and Salem International (76), Kentucky Wesleyan (71), Cal-State Bakersfield (66) and Stephen F. Austin (65) have appeared for more consecutive weeks in the national rankings than ASU.

The Jags are the only PBC institution in the top 25 after Georgia Southwestern dropped out of then national poll last week
