GREENWOOD, S.C. -- Augusta State split a pair of Peach Belt Conference road matches Thursday afternoon against Lander at Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
The Lady Jaguars, ranked 45th in the nation, claimed a 6-3 win over Lander's women's squad. The Lady Bearcats won two of three doubles matches, but ASU bounced back with victories at five of the six singles spots. Victoria Lindqvist was the only Lady Jaguar to register a pair of wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.
The ASU men, ranked No. 9 in the nation, didn't enjoy as much success. The Jags took two of three doubles matches but the Bobcats roared back to sweep the six singles matches.
The Lady Jags (3-2, 2-1 PBC) return to action on Thursday, Feb. 28 at Armstrong Atlantic in Savannah, Ga.
The Jags (2-3, 1-1 PBC) travel to Boca Raton, Fla., to take on Lynn on Monday, Feb. 25 at 1:00 p.m.
