TEMPE, Ariz. – The Augusta University women's tennis team was recognized as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team for the 2025-26 academic year, the ITA announced Tuesday. Seven Jaguars earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors as the program was once again recognized for its success in the classroom.
Student-athletes recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes include Sofia Marquez, Giovanna Patrocino, Julieta Palma, Luciana Bejarano, Priscilla Landi, Anna Blackledge, and Andrea Gonzalez.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, individuals must have:
- A grade point average of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year
- Been listed on the institutional eligibility form
Programs qualify as an ITA All-Academic Team by:
- Achieving a team GPA of 3.2 or above
- Having all student-athletes listed on the institutional eligibility form
- Including all varsity letter winners in the cumulative GPA calculation for the current academic year
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced that 649 Division II women's tennis student-athletes earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors during the 2025-26 academic year, while 95 programs received ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
Academics remain an integral part of the collegiate tennis experience as student-athletes continue to excel both in the classroom and on the court.
