AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State swept a pair of Peach Belt Conference home matches with Flagler on Sunday at Newman Tennis Center.
The Lady Jaguars picked up their eighth straight win with a 6-3 victory over the Saints. The win improved ASU to 11-3 on the season and 6-2 in the conference. The Lady Jags claimed two of three doubles matches and four singles matches at No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6. Maria C. Pimentel and Lissa Murakami each netted a pair of wins.
In the men's match, ASU breezed through doubles and collected three wins at No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 singles. With a 6-3 victory over the Saints, the No. 9 Jaguars registered their fifth straight win, evened their overall record at 7-7 and improved to 3-2 in the PBC.
Both ASU squads travel to Anderson (S.C.) on Tuesday, March 19 for a pair of non-conference matchups with the Trojans at 12:00 p.m.
