ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – GRU Augusta (13-2, 6-0 PBC) freshman Keshun Sherrill scored a career-high 20 points at Flagler Wednesday night in the Flagler Gymnasium while his brother, senior KJ Sherrill, posted 13 in a 78-68 Peach Belt Conference win for the Jaguars' 10th straight.

Flagler's (8-6, 2-5 PBC) Dennis Diaz put his team up 4-0 with back-to-back buckets to open the game, but KJ Sherrill turned it around with a quick five points and three rebounds to give GRU a 25-15 lead with five minutes to go in the opening minutes. Devonte Thomas hit two free throws after the Jags stole the lead and never relinquished to go into the half up 34-26.

After the first half of play and seven minutes into the second, the Saints made 15-of-15 free throws, but the Jags lead the rebound challenge 30-to-17 and had help from the Sherrill brothers. Keshun and KJ Sherrill each had double-figure points with 12 minutes to go – highlighted by Keshun's three treys to give the Jags a safe 51-36 lead with 11:40 to go.

GRU's Devon Wright-Nelson scored 15 and Ryan Weems dropped 12, while both added three assists. The Saints' Diaz kept the second half interesting – leading his team with 17 points, but GRU maintained the lead for a 78-68 final. Jerrell Oxendine scored 16 for Flagler as well

The Jaguars shot 50 percent or better from the floor for the fourth game in a row, posting 50.0 Wednesday, while the Saints shot 35.3 as a team. A 70 percent total at the free throw line and owning a 42-to-26 rebound battle gave the Jags the edge.

GRU Augusta hosts North Georgia on Saturday, Jan. 18 for a 3:30 p.m. tipoff in Christenberry Fieldhouse. The University Village will be sponsoring the Freshmen Frenzy WHITEOUT, where fans are encouraged to wear white and pack out the CFH. The first 150 freshmen will receive free pizza from Papa Johns and a chance to win $150 in Jag Cash during halftime games of the men's game.
