AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Jaguars had no issues with the weather and no issues with the Anderson Trojans as the men and women took their non-conference dual matches on Friday afternoon after rescheduling due to a prior rain conflict.
The Jaguar women (8-4) took care of the Anderson Trojans (4-5) 6-3 in non-conference action with a 6-3 final. Anderson won the opening singles match and number three singles meeting, but the Jaguars prevailed behind two early doubles wins to take the day.
The GRU men improved to 10-4 with the 8-1 non-conference victory, while AU slid to 4-5 on the year. Both Jaguar teams host Georgia College for their next Peach Belt Conference matches on Saturday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Newman Tennis Center.
