COLUMBUS, Ga. – The No. 28 nationally-ranked GRU Augusta women's tennis team drew the sixth seed and played third-seeded Georgia College on Monday, May 4th in the NCAA Southeast Regional first round and fell 5-0 at the Blackmon Tennis Center in Columbus, Ga.

After earning an at-large bid from the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Tennis Committee, the Jags reached their 10th postseason appearance in the last 16 seasons.
After doubles competition, the Jaguars trailed the Bobcats 3-0. In the number one doubles slot, GRU duo Monica Gonzales and Amelia Pinoargote dropped a close 9-7 match, while Aida Castany and Maria Nadal lost by the same score in the number-two slot.
The No. 15 nationally-ranked Bobcats controlled singles play to take the day and advance to play Columbus State on Tuesday, May 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the second round.
GRU Augusta went 15-7 overall in 2014-15 and posted an 8-5 mark in the Peach Belt Conference.
