AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Jaguars hosted their second Peach Belt Conference match in four days and fell to Georgia College 8-1 on Friday afternoon in Newman Tennis Center.
The No. 36 nationally Augusta Jaguars now 9-3 overall and 3-3 in the PBC with loss, while No. 21 nationally GC is 6-4 and 3-2 in the league.
The only victory for Augusta came in the No. 3 doubles slot. Jags duo Gisela Font and Maria Nadal rallied for an 8-7 victory on the day over Kristen Jones and Emma Niemi.
The Bobcats were flawless in singles to outlast the Jags and even their record at 3-3 in the league.
Augusta hosts Anderson on Tuesday, March 8 for a non-conference dual match in Newman Tennis Center.
