CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Augusta University men's basketball team will take on the USC Aiken Pacers in the NCAA Southeast Region semifinal game on Sunday, March 17 at 5:00 p.m. in The Levine Center.
Ranked No. 16 in the nation and seeded second in the region, Augusta (27-5) won in overtime against Francis Marion in the quarterfinal game on Saturday afternoon to advance to the second round.
The Jaguars meet No. 17 and third seeded USC Aiken (27-5) for the fourth time this season. The teams split the regular-season meetings, with USCA winning 79-76 in Augusta, Ga. on Jan. 30 and AU winning 94-75 in Aiken, S.C. on Feb. 27. The Jaguars went wire-to-wire over the Pacers in the 2019 PBC Tournament Championship game to win 93-86 at home.
The Jaguars are advancing to the regional semifinal game for the ninth time in 12 trips to the NCAA Tournament and will face USC Aiken for the third time. Augusta dominated the Pacers 85-57 in the 2008-09 regional championship game and lost 78-58 at USCA in the 2013-14 regional semifinal game.
