MORROW, Ga. – The Augusta University women's tennis team hosted a home match against Erskine College on Friday afternoon to take and the Jaguars won 6-1.
AU improved to 5-2 on the year while Erskine slides to 0-5.
The Jags fell in the No. 1 singles match, but then won the next five matches for a big lead. Alejandra Arranz and Edith Rueda Croda only dropped 2 sets in their singles match while CArolta Costa Maero inly dropped one set in her #6 singles match.
Ana Faria won 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 2 singles spot while Merye Gobernate won 6-2, 6-4 at the No. 3 singles spot.
Augusta was dominant in doubles, only dropping five sets in all three matches combined.
Augusta hosts Lincoln Memorial Sunday March 1st at 12:00pm at the Newman Tennis Center.
