AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's tennis team won a tight non-conference match over the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters on Sunday at Newman Tennis Center.
The match moved AU to 6-2, while the LMU Railsplitters are now 7-2.
Augusta senior Eva Miralles Miro won 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 1 slot. After falling at the No. 2 spot, the Jags were able to rally for wins at the No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 spot. Freshman Edith Rued Croda won her match at the No. 4 singles spot 6-3, 6-2.
Ana Faria and Teresa Franco Diaz were the only pair to win their doubles match for the day. AU is set to host the Emmanuel College Lions on Friday March 6th at 2:00pm in a Peach Belt Conference match at Newman Tennis Center.
