AUGUSTA, Ga- The Augusta University Men's basketball team registered a 126-39 victory against the visiting Allen Yellow Jackets. Currently ranked #10 in the country, Augusta remains unbeaten for the 2021-22 season.  Allen falls to 0-4 with the loss.

Augusta started the game on a 15-0 run and never looked back as head coach Dip Metress'   team canned 48-of-76  from the floor (63.2 percent) for the game.

Ja'Queeze Kirby led everyone with a game-high 23 points on 9-of-10 shooting. Kirby tabbed a double-double by adding 10 rebounds.

Miguel Arnold drained 6-of-9 from downtown and hit 2 free throws for 20 points. John Whitehead III had a season high 19 points and 7 rebounds.

Troy Cracknell carded 14 points while Tyshaun Crawford scored 13. Daniel Allen was also in double figures with 10 points.

Darren Lucas-White applied pressure defensively, leading the game with 4 steals.


The Jaguars grabbed 59 rebounds compared to 24 for the visitors. AU  had 24 second-chance points. 

Augusta scored 48 points in the paint and 33 fast break points. The home team turned 14 turnovers into 27 points.

All 12 players etched their names in the scoring column in the win.



 The Jaguars are home next Saturday Dec 11 to play College of Coastal Georgia in the Prostate Cancer Awareness Game before returning home Monday to play in-town rival Paine College.
