AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University Women's tennis team fell in non-conference action to the Barton Bulldogs. The match was played in Florence, S.C.
Barton improves to 2-0 while Augusta moves to 4-2 overall.
Edith Rueda Croda and Maria Alive Vieira won the only doubles match of the day for the Jags 6-4 at the #3 doubles spot. After Teresa Franco Dias fell in a 4-6, 3-6 battle, Ana Faria defeated Eimear Maher in dominating fashion, 6-1, 6-0. Clara Basunana deMIguel also picked up another win in the #4 singles spot 7-5, 6-1.
AU women's Tennis hosts travels to the University of North Georgia on Tuesday March 9th for a 1:00pm Peach Belt Conference matchup
