AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University Men's tennis team dominated non-conference opponent Augustana 7-0 on Wednesday. The two teams met on Augusta's home court at Newman Tennis Center. Augusta improves to 5-5 while Augustana falls to 2-3.
Ricard Rubio and Mattia Mauriziano won their No. 1 doubles battle 7-6. They were followed by a 6-2 win by Lucas Bolle and Martin Hurtado at the #2 doubles spot.
Ricard Rubio defeated Cade Damgaard 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 1 singles spot while Lucas Bolle prevailed in his singles match 6-1, 6-0. Herick Isago came out on top 6-3, 6-2 and Quentin Cano Perez continued the hot streak for Augusta at the No. 4 singles spot. To round out the day, Martin Hurtado blacked Tory Shafer 6-0, 6-0.
AU men's Tennis hosts travels to Young Harris on Saturday April 3rd for a 2:00pm Peach Belt Conference matchup
