DAYTONA BEACH, FL – The Augusta University men's track and field team finished 4th this past weekend at the Peach Belt Conference Championships at Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach, FL.
During the two day event, AU men's track marked 6 all-conference nominations and one new school record. All top 3 finishes were named All-Conference.
University Male Athlete of the Year Hunter Kimball won the steeple, becoming the Conference Champion and setting a new school record with a time of 9:14.91. Kimball also placed 2nd in the 10000m event.
Derrian Wright finished 2nd in the 800m in 1:52.68.
Kai Brickey finished second in the 1500m in 3:56.51.
Chris Shelp placed second in the 500m with a time of 15:09.83.
Hans Troyer finished second in the steeple behind his AU teammate and 3rd in the 10000m with a tie of 31:24.46.
The Augusta men's 4x100m relay team finished 3rd and consisted of Thomas Lollis, Imo Sunday, Jared Talman, and Daniel Forrester.
