Augusta Volleyball Pushes Win Streak to 9
Milledgeville, Ga – After comfortably winning matches against West Alabama and Montevallo on Friday, AU volleyball continued its hot streak with a win against Valdosta State.

The Jaguars were paced by senior
Alyssa Frazier's 12 kills on 24 wings. Fellow senior Radka Brichakova also added a push on offense, with 7 kills and an impressive .375 hitting percentage.
Defensively,
Kylie Martin led the way with 16 digs.

Sophomore
Ally Thees continues to make an impact on the AU ball distribution, gathering 13 assists as a counterpart to
Samantha Zittrauer's 16 assists.

After a back and forth first set, an attack error by Valdosta State's Deona Mims and 2 service aces by
Samantha Zittrauer closed the first set 25-19. AU was able to hold the Blazer's to a .079 hitting percentage. Two more service aces by Zittrauer extended the lead to 11-7 midway through the second set. Always leading, the Jaguars closed the second set 25-18 before wrapping the weekend with another 25-18 set win.

Augusta is back in action on Wednesday Sept 22 in Rome, Ga to take on Shorter in a non-conference match-up.
