AIKEN, S.C. –
Kylie Martin and
Alexis Diaz-Infante provided the offensive spark to route Lincoln Memorial in the Jags' final game of the tournament. .
Augusta led for the entirety of the match, sweeping Lincoln Memorial 3-0 and punctuating the win with a 21-11 score in the final set.
Diaz-Infante provided an offensive spark from the middle, hitting 10 kills with an impressive .370 hitting percentage. Reigning PBC Tournament MVP
Kylie Martin continued her impressive play with 12 kills, 15 digs, and 12 total points.
The Jaguars hit an impressive .292 hitting percentage for the match, closing with a blistering 14 kills on 22 swings in the final set of the day.
Augusta also applied significant pressure from the service line, serving ten aces –
Chloe Allen,
Kiera Barr, and
Samantha Zittrauer each added three during the match.
Transfer
Radka Brichackova led the blocking effort for the match.
Augusta returns to Aiken next weekend to play in the USC Aiken Invitational. On Sept 10th, they take on Belmont Abbey and Francis Marion prior to returning on Sept 11
th to play Converse and Coker.
