Box Score Greenood, SC- The Augusta University men's basketball team fell to the Lander Bearcats 88-81 on Wednesday night in PBC play. Augusta moves to 12-2, 2-2 in PBC play while Lander improves to 7-6, 2-2 in PBC play.

After opening the game with a dunk from Jared Sherfield, Lander would start the game on an 11-5 run. A made three-point basket by
Troy Cracknell brought Augusta within three, but shooting troubles for the Jaguars propelled Lander to a 13-point lead at halftime. The Bearcats had a productive first half, shooting 62.5% from the field and 52.9% from the three-point line. Augusta was held to 20% from beyond the arc, its least productive three-point shooting half this season.
Two back-to-back three's by
Miguel Arnold shrunk the Bearcat lead to single-digits with 16:27 left to play. A late push by Augusta and a made 3-pointer by
David Viti shrunk the Lander lead to 5. While AU shot over 43% in the second half, they were unable to erase the deficit.
Tyshaun Crawford led Augusta, carding a season-high 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks in his double-double performance.
Miguel Arnold tallied 16 pints and 5 rebounds.
Troy Cracknell and
Darren Lucas-White added 14 points each.
