Jaguar Women's Cross Country Cards Third at PBC Championships

BEECH ISLAND, SC - The Augusta University women's cross country team finished third in the 2022 Peach Belt Championships. The Jaguars finished just five points behind North Georgia.

Cassie Lagan paced Augusta finishing her 5k in 18:47.7. Riley Triplett finished fourth overall with a time of 18:54.2.

Flagler's Monique Whiteman won the individual championship, finishing 12 seconds ahead of Lagan.

The top 15 runners were named All-Conference provided they were among the top seven runners on their team. Flagler's Abigail Misch was named the PBC Freshman of the Year after finishing 10th, the first freshman across the line. Flagler's Brian Beil was named the PBC Coach of the Year for the fifth time in a row.

Augusta will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the NCAA Southeast Regional in Wingate, N.C.
