WINGATE, N.C. – Senior and Peach Belt Conference Runner of the Year Madison Thomas qualified for the NCAA National Championship after leading the Augusta women's cross country team to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional on Saturday morning, hosted by Wingate University in Wingate, N.C.
Results
Thomas covered the 6K course in 22:32.62 and was one of the top two individual runners not on a qualifying team, earning an individual berth to the national championship field.
Danielle Thayer finished 28th in 23:18.44, followed by Maria Biondollilo in 34th at 23:38.95 and freshman Josabeth Graciano in 40th at 23:49.47. Gabriella Burton completed Augusta's scoring five in 50th place with a time of 23:55.65. Additional competitors included Amelia Ogden (24:24.28, 68th) and senior Swaye Mohler (24:45.10, 78th).
The Jaguars placed fifth as a team to close a strong 2025 season, while Thomas advances to compete individually at the NCAA Division II National Championship on Saturday, Nov. 22, in Kenosha, Wis.
