AUGUSTA, Ga – The No. 13 Augusta University men's basketball downed the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes 74-65.
Tyshaun Crawford scored a career-high 29 points, snatched nine rebounds, and blocked five shots to remain one of the most dominant players in Division II. Augusta improves to 7-1 (1-0 PBC) while Georgia Southwestern falls to 5-3 (0-1 PBC).

AU opened up a comfortable advantage in the first half, leading by as many as 15 points.
Tyshaun Crawford scored 12 points and
Miguel Arnold scored 11 in the first half as Augusta built a 41-26 halftime lead over the Hurricanes.
Crawford scored on a jumper to give Augusta a 43-26 lead over Georgia Southwestern after the first possession of the second half. The Hurricanes refused to go away, with a layup by Jordan Clark sparking a huge run for the visiting team. A layup by Devon Higgs with 4:30 left to play cut the Augusta led to 65-64. A timely three from
Miguel Arnold gave AU an eight-point cushion with just over 2 minutes left to play. The Jaguars would win 74-65 for its first Peach Belt win of the season.
Crawford led with a career-high 29 points.
Miguel Arnold had 17 points and
Tyree Myers had 12 points to go along with four assists. Fellow senior
Darren Lucas-White carded 8 points and five rebounds.
