AUGUSTA, Ga – The No. 11 Augusta University men's basketball team closed out 2022 with a 91-77 victory over Emmanuel. The Jaguars improved to 11-1 while Emmanuel falls to 7-6. The Jags return to Peach Belt play on Wednesday Jan 4 against Georgia College at 7:30pm

Four Jaguars scored in double-figures.
Miguel Arnold carded a season-high 26 points.
Tyshaun Crawford had 21.
Ja'Queze Kirby tallied 14 points and
Darren Lucas-White had 12 points.
Tyree Myers and
David Viti each had 8 points.
Augusta was dominant in the paint, scoring 56 points to Emmanuel's 24.
Miguel Arnold opened scoring for AU with a three pointer. Another three-point basket from
Tyree Myers gave Augusta a five point advantage. Back-to-back layups by
Darren Lucas-White extended the Jaguar lead to 10 with just under 14 minutes left to play. The Lions would shift the momentum in the second part of the half, hitting eight threes to secure a 7 point lead at halftime.
Both teams traded buckets for the first five minutes of the second half. Down 10 points, Arnold scored the next 12 points to notch the game at 67-67. The Jaguars would go on to orchestrate a 31-10 run that put them up 81-70 with 2:00 minutes left in the game. Two made free throws from Arnold secured the 91-77 victory.
