AUGUSTA, GA- Junior
Miguel Arnold buried a three-pointer with 1.7 seconds left in regulation to push Augusta to a 77-76 victory over Queen University of Charlotte on Tuesday, March 15
th in the regional final of the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional.
With the win, AU improves to 30-3 overall and punches the Jaguars ticket to the NCAA Elite Eight in Evansville, Indiana starting March 22.

Tyshaun Crawford added 17 points, and
Miguel Arnold posted 14 points.
The win avenges a 2019 loss to Queens in Charlotte in the Southeast Regional Championship.

Augusta found themselves down four points at halftime. The stingy defense of the Royals only allowed 32 points in the first half, one of the team's lowest first half totals of the year. After finding themselves down by as many as seven in the second half, AU battled back and took the victory in front of one its largest crowd this season.
AU will return to the Elite Eight for the first time in 12 years.

The 2022 DII men's basketball tournament quarterfinals are set. Indiana (PA), Nova Southeastern, Augusta, Bentley, Black Hills State and Northwest Missouri State won their respective games on Tuesday, joining Monday's winners Hillsdale and Chico State.
