KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Augusta University junior center
Tyshaun Crawford has been named to the Bevo Francis Top 25 Watch List, according to a release this afternoon by Small College Basketball and the National Awards Committee.
The 2022 Bevo Francis Top 25 Watch List consists of some of the top players from NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA.
Crawford is the Peach Belt Conference Co-Player of the Year, a first-team all-conference selection, a D2CCA all-region first team selection, and the NCAA Southeast Region Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
Crawford is currently averaging 17.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. He has a 71% free-throw percentage and has 73 assists on the year. Crawford led the team in scoring throughout the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament this past weekend and looks to continue his dominance in the Elite 8 in Evansville, IN.
This is the sixth year of the Bevo Francis Award, after the award was not presented in 2021. Past winners include Dominez Burnett of Davenport University in 2016, Justin Pitts of Northwest Missouri State University in 2017, Emanuel Terry of Lincoln Memorial University in 2018, Aston Francis of Wheaton College in 2019 and Kyle Mangas of Indiana Wesleyan University in 2020.
On April 2, the finalists of this year's award will be announced, followed by the Bevo Francis Award winner being crowned on April 4.
