The 2022 season has been the most competitive in the history of the Peach Belt with three teams sharing the PBC regular-season title for the first time in league history.
Columbus State, Flagler and North Georgia each finished the season with 6-1 conference records. Columbus State lost to North Georgia 4-3 on Sunday while beating Flagler. Flagler lost to CSU but beat North Georgia and UNG beat CSU but lost to Flagler. The three teams also defeated every other team in the PBC.
To break the tie, none of the head-to-head tiebreakers for a three-team tie would apply with no team having an advantage over the other. The PBC policy then moves to its fourth step: using ITA rankings to break the tie. The current ITA rankings from April 21 have Columbus State at #6 in the nation, North Georgia at #7 and Flagler at #11. Therefore, the PBC Tournament seedings will be:
#1 – Columbus State
#2 – North Georgia
#3 – Flagler
Georgia College is the #4 seed with Augusta at #5 and Lander at #6.
