Box Score MORROW, Ga - The No. 9 Augusta Men's Basketball team won a 79-61 PBC contest to the Clayton State Lakers. Augusta improves to 17-3, 8-2 PBC while Clayton State falls to 2-17, 0-9 PBC.

The Jaguars have had to adjust to a new scheme with
Timmy Sellers missing the last three games due to injury. Augusta struggled from the field in the first half, shooting just 26.7 percent. Clayton State held a narrow 31-29 lead at the half. Fifteen of Augusta's points came from beyond the arc.
Miguel Arnold opened second half scoring with a three before Crawford was fouled and hit two free throws. Arnold would hit yet another three to give Augusta a commanding lead which they would never relinquish. A three-pointer by
Ja'Queze Kirby in transition with just over 9:00 minutes to play extended the lead to 64-44. The Jaguars would go on to win 79-61.
Tyshaun Crawford led AU scoring with 20 points and 3 blocks.
Ja'Queze Kirby turned in a double-double, carding 16 points and snagging 12 rebounds.
Miguel Arnold also had 12 points. Senior
Tyree Myers dished 4 assists.
The Jaguars will host its Prostate Cancer Awareness Game on Wednesday Feb 1. The team is slated to host the North Georgia Nighthawks for a top-25 matchup. Augusta will don its special edition light blue jerseys for the game. Tipoff is at 7:30pm. The Georgia Cancer Center will be on site at the game.
