AUGUSTA, Ga – The Augusta University men's and women's basketball programs have announced the 2023-24 promotional schedule with a number of events and giveaways set for home contest at Christenberry Fieldhouse this season.
The Jags kicked off their promotional schedule on Sunday, Dec. 3 when a lucky fan won $1,000 to celebrate the men's basketball program reaching 1,000 wins.
Other highlights include two Education Day games (Dec. 7 & Dec. 18), the Teddy Bear Toss (Jan. 10), Military Appreciation (Jan. 27), the Cancer Awareness games (Feb. 3), Homecoming (Feb. 17), and much more. The Senior Day celebrations are slated for March 2 when both teams host USC Beaufort.

Thursday, Dec. 7 – MBB vs Brewton Parker-11:00am
EDUCATION DAY GAME –Richmond County
Over 2,000 fifth graders from Richmond County will attend the game for a special 11:00 a.m. tipoff in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
Saturday, Dec. 16 – WBB vs Francis Marion-1:30pm
FIRST RESPONDERS DAY
First responders will receive free admission and will be recognized during the games.
Monday, Dec. 18 – MBB vs Reinhardt- 11:00am
EDUCATION DAY GAME –Columbia County
Over 2,000 fifth graders from Columbia County will attend the game for an 11:00 a.m. game.
Tuesday, Dec. 19- MBB vs Emmanuel-7:00pm
COMMUNITY GAME
Free admission for all fans! There will be prize giveaways during the contest.
Wednesday, Jan. 10 – WBB/MBB vs Clayton State-5:30/7:30pm
TEDDY BEAR TOSS
'STUFF THE STADIUM!' - Fans are encouraged to bring a new teddy bear or other new stuffed animal to the game throw it onto the court when the Augusta men's basketball team scores their first points. All stuffed animals collected at the Stuff the Stadium event will be donated to local charities.

MILITARY APPRECIATION / SALUTE TO THE TROOPS GAME
Augusta Athletics is honored to welcome members of the United States Armed Forces for the annual event. Active duty members from Fort Gordon will be in attendance. During halftime of the men's game, cadets will officially be inducted into different branches of the military with a special swearing-in ceremony. All active duty, retired, and veteran military personnel are admitted into the games free of charge with a valid military ID or DD214 form.

CANCER AWARENESS / PACELINE CHECK PRESENTATION
Augusta Athletics is 'Here to Win.' Help us raise awareness and support for the Georgia Cancer Center. The Georgia Cancer and Paceline will be on hand with educational displays and survivors will be recognized prior to the game.
