Box Score COLUMBIA, S.C. | Augusta women's tennis swept all but one singles match for a 6-1 victory over the Benedict Tigers
The Jaguars are now 1-0 Benedict falls to 0-1.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- AU swept all three doubles. Madeline Frdiana and Priscilla Landi won 6-2, Sophia Marquez and Andrea Gonzalez won 6-1, and Silava Figueroa and Carlota Costa took a 6-2 victory.
- In singles, Augusta clamied victories in the No. 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 spots. Only the No. 3 singles took three sets to win – Carlota Costa won a 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 thriller.
- Andre Gonzalez blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 sport. Pricilla Landon 7-6, 6-0 while Silvana Figueroa and Sofia Marquez both won 6-0, 6-1
The Jaguars travel to Hartsville, SC on Tuesday Feb 7th to take on Coker.
