Augusta Posts 99-73 Win For PBC Regular-Season Co-Championship

AUGUSTA, Ga – The #20 Augusta University men's basketball team is now the 2022-23 PBC regular season co-champions after a 99-73 Saturday afternoon. The Jaguars are now 23-5, 14-4 PBC. Prior to the game, Augusta recognized four of the most prolific scorers in program history for Senior Day. Tyshaun Crawford, Miguel Arnold, Tyree Myers, and Darren Lucas-White have all scored over 1,000 points in their career.

Augusta took a commanding lead early. A dunk from Tyshaun Crawford with 7:50 left in the first half gave AU a 30-12 lead. A layup from Darren Lucas-White with 1:47 left extended the AU lead to 46-19. AU would head to the locker room with a 48-24 lead at the half. The second half proved more of the same and Augusta would take a 99-73 victory to wrap the regular season.
 
Five different Jags were in double-figures. Freshman Chris Britt led with 19 points. Tyshaun Crawford had 13 points. Ja'Queze Kirby and Darren Lucas-White each had 12 points while Miguel Arnold had 11. Every Augusta player scored in the game.
 
Augusta will host the 2023 Peach Belt Conference tournament. Augusta will play Flagler in the quarterfinals in Christenberry Fieldhouse on Thursday (Mar. 2).
