AUGUSTA, GA– The Augusta University baseball team swept Claflin on the road Saturday in a PBC double-header. The Jaguars began the day with a huge 19-2 win over Claflin before taking down the Panthers 11-3 in the second game of the day.

Kyle LaRoche had a huge game, driving in seven on three hits to lead Augusta in game 1. Laroche drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the sixth, and a grand slam in the seventh.
Jordan Wilkie singled in the first inning, scoring one run to start off the Augusta offense.
AU tallied five runs in the seventh inning. Joe Saccente and Laroche, both sent runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Mason Bernard earned the win for the Jags. Bernard lasted 5.1 innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out eight and walking one.
Brandon Byler threw 1.2 innings in relief out of the bullpen.
The Jags hit two home runs on the day.
Koby Ayala put one out in the sixth inning. Laroche had a homer in the seventh inning.
AU racked up 15 hits. Lodise each managed three hits to lead the team.

Augusta got things moving in the first inning off a solo homer.
AU tallied five runs in the third inning, led by doubles by
Harrison Aulds and J.Ben Haynes, a walk by
Kyle Lodise, and a single by
Jordan Wilkie.
Turner Sircy was credited with the victory for Augusta . The lefty surrendered one run on two hits over seven innings, striking out six.
Aedan Cates and
Britt Kelly entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
AU racked up nine hits in the game. Lodise and Aulds each managed multiple hits. Lodise was 3-for-3 with 3 runs and 2 RBI.
Augusta will play its final game of the series Sunday March 12 at 1:00pm.
