MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga– The Augusta University baseball team fell 5-1 in their final game of its series against Georgia College Sunday afternoon. Augusta is now 11-13, 6-9 PBC play while the Bobcats are 11-12, 9-3 in Peach Belt play.
In the first inning, Harison Aulds and
Jordan Wilkie were both walked. After Aulds stole second base, a fielding error by the pitcher sent him home for the single Augusta score of the day.
Georgia College knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning and pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning.
J.R. Fordham started on the bump for Augusta, tossing 4.1 innings. Fordham allowed four runs on six hits and struck out five batters.
Jordan Wilkie was 2-for-3 to lead Augusta.
Rushton Bowles,
Koby Ayala, and Aulds also registered hits.
