Columbia, SC. -Augusta University Men's track and field competed at the 2023 Weems Baskin Relays in Columbia, S.C hosted by the University of South Carolina.
 
"Three school records went down and lots of personal bests," said Head Coach Jacob Burgamy. "We were looking at this meet for most as an opportunity to get something shorter/faster in before we head to our biggest regular season meet of the year in a couple weeks and I was very happy with the progress that we made"

The distance events were a bright spot, as usual, for the Jaguars Competing as a Division II school at a Division I meet, the Augusta men turned in nine top-10 finishes. Patrick Motes carded a season-best 4:00.85 in the 1500m to take home first place in the race. In the 3000m, Avery Haynes finished third in 8:41.98 while Carlos Rodriguez recorded a new personal-best 8:50.21.
