The Augusta University baseball team swept Lander Friday afternoon. After winning Game 1 8-5, the Jags took the second game 12-7. Win the win, Augusta improves to 16-15, 9-11 PBC while Lander falls to 13-20.
Augusta will wrap the three-series on Sunday with a single game.

In the first game, Lander got on the board in the first inning off a single.
Augusta took the lead for good with four runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Harrison Aulds hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored and Kyle Laroche homered on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
Mason Bernard was credited with the victory for the Jags. Bernard allowed four hits and four runs over seven and a third innings, striking out four. Jasper Dubberly and Britt Kelly entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Dubberly recorded the last three outs to earn the save.
AU tallied two home runs during the first game. Kyle Lodise had a four bagger in the sixth inning. Laroche went deep in the fifth inning.
Koby Ayala went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the home team in hits.
Augusta took the lead late and defeated Lander 12-7 in the second game of the day.Â
After capitalizing on an error and a single for a 2-0 lead, The Jags put up five runs in the fifth inning. The offense in the inning came from home runs by Aulds and Laroche.Â
The game was tied at seven with Augusta  batting in the bottom of the sixth when Harrison Aulds singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Jordan Wilkie singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Laroche singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.Â
Parker Ingram tacked on the final Augusta score off a solo homer in the eighth inning.Â
Aulds led Augusta to victory, pushing in six runs. He went 2-for-4 at the plate, driving in runs on a grand slam in the fifth and a single in the sixth. AU tallied 12 hits in the game. Lodise, Laroche, Ingram, Aulds, and Wilkie all managed multiple hits. Lodise went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
Turner Sircy pitched AU to victory. The lefty surrendered one run on four hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Aedan Cates and Brian Trepanier entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Logan Howell started the game. He surrendered five runs on five hits over one and one-third innings, walking one.
