Augusta, Ga- Augusta baseball toppled Lander in dramatic walk-off fashion thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game. The game was tied at ten with AU batting in the bottom of the ninth when
Rushton Bowles doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. The win secured the weekend sweep of the Bearcats.
The Jags are now 17-15 including 10-11 in Peach Belt play while Lander falls to 13-21, 9-9 in conference.
Augusta earned the victory despite allowing Lander to score six runs in the third inning.
In the first inning, Lander got their offense started when Martino homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. The Bearcats would use a huge third inning to take an 8-0 lead.

A two-score double from
Kyle LaRoche in the fourth inning opened scoring for the home team.
Parker Ingram hit a sac fly to left field that scored LaRoche for an 8-3 score.
The Jags tallied four runs in the sixth inning.
Kyle Lodise,
Pat Galvin,
Harrison Aulds, and
Jordan Wilkie all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
JR Fordham started the game, allowing five hits and seven runs over 2.1 innings.
Dominic Canale and
Britt Kelly entered the game out of the bullpen.
Jasper Dubberly earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Augusta. The righty surrendered two runs on four hits over 3 innings, striking out two and walking one.
The Jags totaled 12 hits in the game. Kyle Laroche,
Gavin Wright, Galvin, and Aulds all collected multiple hits. Wright and LaRoche were each 3-for-5 with 2 runs to lead the offense. LaRoche carded 4 RBI in the contest.
The Jaguars travel to Francis Marion for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday April 4 before traveling to USC Aiken for a three-game series April 6-8. Live stats and video at augustajags.com
