Aulds Hits Walk-Off Winner Against Saint Rose

AUGUSTA, Ga - It came down to the wire on Wednesday when Augusta University baseball took a victory over Saint Rose on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings. Augusta improves to 7-10 with the win. 

Both teams were scoreless until the Golden Knights turned in four runs in the top of the sixth inning.
AU notched 2 runs in the inning, but the Golden Knight would add another four in the seventh inning. A two RBI homer from Parker Ingram brought the score to 8-4.

AU would add four runs in the eighth inning.  Harrison Aulds, Jordan Wilkie, and Jared Martin all carded runs in the inning. After an error for Saint Rose's third baseman evened the score at 9, Aulds singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run for the walk off victory.

Brandon Byler was the winning pitcher for the Jags, tossing one inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits and walking zero.

Logan Howell started the game for Augusta. The righty lasted five and a third innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out four.  Britt Kelly, Dominic Canale, and Cody Sheider all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Augusta tallied ten hits in the game. Aulds and Koby Ayala all collected multiple hits for AU. Aulds led with three hits in six at bats.

Augusta returns to PBC play with a weekend series against Claflin.
