AUGUSTA, GA – The Augusta men's basketball team fell to Fayetteville State, 79-62 on Wednesday night. Augusta's next three contests are on the road before returning home to host Paine College on Dec. 5 for the Richmond County Education Day Game.

Augusta trailed by seven points at halftime, but a strong start to the second half by Fayetteville State extended the lead. The Jaguars showed flashes of strong play, particularly in the paint where they scored 46 points, but turnovers and cold shooting from beyond the arc hampered their efforts.
Demitri Gardner once again led the Jaguars with a standout performance, posting 21 points, 3 rebounds, and a steal while shooting 7-13 from the field and 3-6 from three-point range. TJ Baker contributed 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists, providing key baskets in the first half. Luis Nonfon added 7 points and 4 rebounds, including solid defensive efforts in the paint. John St. Germain III chipped in with 9 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals off the bench, while Oliver Lucas added 6 points on efficient shooting and showed strong finishing ability late in the game.
