FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – Despite outhitting Emmanuel, the Augusta University baseball team fell 6-5 on the road Wednesday evening.  The Jaguars will travel to Melbourne, Florida for a weekend series against Florida Tech Feb. 16-17.
 
Augusta scored two runs in the second inning off singles from Mike Morrison and Zach Kwiatkowski. Emmanuel tied up the game in the bottom of the sixth inning thanks to back-to-back bases-loaded walks.

AU regained the lead in the top of the seventh when Kyle Lodise blasted a 3-run homer to left field, pushing the score to 5-2.
 
After scoring a single run in the seventh, Emmanuel took the lead for good in the bottom of the eighth inning when the Lions scored off a wild pitch and a single to right field tied the game at 5-5. With one out, Emmanuel grounded out to second base and scored the game's final run.
 
Gavin Wright started pitching for Augusta, surrendering two hits over 4.2 innings of work. Five other pitchers saw time on the mound for the Jaguars.
 
AU piled on nine hits to Emmanuel's seven. Kyle Lodise went 2-for-5 for 3 RBI and 1 run. Mike Morrison was 2-for-4 with 1 RBI. Five other Jags carded hits.
